I wrote you a poem
but then I threw it away because I thought you wouldn't like it

I drew you a picture
but I erased it because it wasn't very good

I wrote you a story about us
but I crumpled it up and tossed it away because was afraid our endings didn't mesh

I wanted to give you my heart
but then I locked it away because I was afraid you wouldn't accept
